Leon Bontrager
President
Leon Bontrager has over a decade of experience in designing and installing renewable energy systems. Leon is one of only seven NABCEP certified solar installers in Indiana and was featured by the Union of Concerned Scientists as one of only 20 nationwide “Faces of Renewable Energy” as a person working and making a difference in renewable energy. He is a founding board member and Treasurer of the Indiana Renewable Energy Association (InREA), a statewide organization that focuses on service and public education of renewable energy. Leon also owns and operates EPS Energetic's, specializing in advanced, customized solutions for mobile electrical and automation needs. Leon and his wife Ellen are the parents of six energetic boys.
Steve Kooistra
Technician
Steve Kooistra brings 13 years of electrical and construction experience to Home Energy LLC. He is a graduate of Houghton College and is a licensed Master Electrician with vast experience working with AC and DC power. Steve leads the installation and service of our solar and wind power systems, completing projects on schedule and up to codes.
Heidi McHugh
Marketing Manager
Heidi McHugh, a graduate of Goshen College, is Marketing Manager at Home Energy LLC. She brings a diverse background of experience in Marketing, Communications and Graphic Design to Home Energy, to plan and develop marketing materials and programs including brochures, website, tradeshows, seminars and anything else that may come up. She and her husband have two little ones who keep them busy outside of work.
